Mini Prints Workshop

£25

2 hour workshop - various dates

The nights are drawing in, so we’re doing a a few Riso Nights at the Gooze this Autumn. If you’re curious about Risograph printing but not sure where to start, and the idea of creating an A3 print from scratch is a little too scary, then this 2 hour mini prints workshop is for you!

No Riso experience needed, no drawing skill needed. Make a ghost. Make a haunted potato. Make a cursed spoon. Write something weird on a bit of paper. Cut out some collage. Pure analogue = pure fun!

Then turn your mini spooky design into an A6 Riso print (postcard sized mini print) using 2 magic potion colours from purple, green, fluro orange and black.

Spooky snacks, hot chocolate and marshmallows provided.

You’ll learn a little of how the machine works, explore colour layering, and create a set of your own two-colour A6 prints to take home.

This workshop is part of a series of 4 Spookin’ Spooky Riso Nights workshops. At the end of the series, all participants will be posted a varied set of mini prints in a special folio case to keep them safe. We will also sell sets online for those wanting extras!

You’ll leave with:

  • A set of your own Riso postcards.

  • A basic understanding of how Risograph printing works.

  • Inspiration for what to try next.

  • And await a set of mini prints in the post!

All materials are provided, as well as refreshments. Beginners very welcome!

If you’ve been meaning to try Riso, this is your moment!

First Sunday of the Month - Drop In Sessions

Starting in October, we’re going to make an experimental and collaborative edition each month, and open up the studio whilst we do it.

We’ll pick something we’ve been wanting to try for ages - forced CMYK photographic prints; retro book covers; typographic layouts with old Letraset; collage with maps and found images. There won’t be a pre defined design, but it’s more about messing around with colours, scans, type, texture, overprinting, and different papers, creating a truly unique Silly Gooze Edition.

You don’t need to have any previous Riso experience, or your own designs, just drop in and take part as you are. All participants on the day will be credited as the artists behind the print. Additional editions will be made available to purchase through the website afterwards.

Upcoming Open Edition Sundays:

4th October 2026

1st November 2026

6th December 2026

You’ll leave with:

  • A basic understanding of how Risograph printing works.

  • Memories, ideas, and a cool new print!

All materials are provided, as well as refreshments. Beginners very welcome!
